At Rising Sun Pottery, we are dedicated to creating beautiful, functional works of art. Each hand-made vessel is given great consideration as it begins it’s journey toward its ultimate destiny. Our work is created to enhance the beauty and presentation of food and drink. Each piece is meant to be a useful pot.

Our pottery is born of either a stoneware or porcelain clay body, It is then wheel-thrown and /or hand-built, then altered. Glazes are applied by pouring, dipping and spraying. Each piece gains its individuality by being enhanced with decorative slips and stains, which are painted, or brushed, stamped or combed.

Our ultimate goal is to breathe the life and joy we feel during our creative process into each piece of Rising Sun Pottery
